Simply the best Vietnamese cuisine in Orlando. Located just a sidewalk away from busy Colonial Drive, the interior decor, dominated by a tank of tropical fish, is an oasis of quiet. No matter how crowded the restaurant - and it is often full - the noise level is never overwhelming.
One sign of a good ethnic restaurant is that it appeals to members of that culture, and the tables at Little Saigon are regularly filled with members of the local Vietnamese community.
For an appetizer, don't miss the summer rolls, a soft wrap filled with rice, shrimp, and pork and served with a delicious chocolate-brown peanut sauce (these rolls can be easily adapted to a vegetarian diet, simply ask that the meat be removed). A couple orders of summer rolls, at $2.50 for two, can easily make a meal. But venture out to try some of the dozens of healthy, light dishes on the menu. Traditional soups with noodles, rice, vegetables, and either chicken, beef, or seafood are popular. The numbered menu is not written very clearly and has minimal descriptions, so ask your server exactly what is in the entrees.
