The fleet of vintage aircraft displayed at Fantasy Of Flight features aircraft whose accomplishments have earned the admiration of knowledgeable aviators and inspired the imagination of those who have always dreamed of soaring above the clouds.
The vintage aircraft, painstakingly acquired by lifelong aviation enthusiast and founder of Fantasy Of Flight, Kermit Weeks, represents all eras of aviation from early flight to the 1950s.
Some aircraft have been carefully restored to represent the same dignity they possessed when they ruled the skies. Others, shown in the immersion experiences, look exactly the same as when Weeks acquired them.
Experience the thrill of flying a WWII combat mission at "Fighter Town USA", where the only thing between you and the enemy is the windscreen youre looking through!
Or imagine youre the pilot of a F4U Corsair or a F4F Wildcat involved in mid-air combat with enemy aircraft over the blue waters of the Pacific!
Employing advanced simulation technology, Fantasy Of Flights simulators put you in the pilot seat - capturing the sights, sounds & even the emotions of participating in a WWII Pacific Theatre combat mission aboard one of eight classic aircraft.
Open daily 9:00am to 5:00pm. Excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Well worth a visit. Make sure that you get there early - as the hangars in which the aircraft sit can get mighty hot in the Florida sunshine. This attractions is more for the Dad's in the group, although the air-combat sim is a must for the kids also.
Make sure you stay and eat either breakfast or lunch at the "The Compass Rose" Diner that's on site. It's a nostalgic trip back to the 30's and 40's.
